Sun Cellular has definitely surprised us after introducing the Galaxy S3 as their latest postpaid mobile offering. It’s no doubt that this is the most-awaited Galaxy S3 plan from Sun this year!
The Galaxy S3 is now available under Sun Cellular’s Plan 1699, which offers unlimited mobile internet, unlimited Sun-to-Sun texts, 4 hours of Sun-to-Sun calls, and 250 free SMS to other networks.
Technically, the Sun Plan 1699 has a monthly service fee of Php999, plus Php700 cash-out for the handset cost. This is already included in Php1699 cash-out. This postpaid plan has a holding/lock-in period of 30 months.
According to Sun, the Galaxy S3 will NOT be offered in other plans. Meaning, it will only be available in Plan 1699.
Also, Sun Cellular recently offered the Sun microSIM to both existing or new postpaid and prepaid subscribers and its price will be the same as the regular SIM (still 59 pesos). This is an indication that SUN will bring-in high-end phones that require micro-SIMs (just like the Galaxy S3).

whats the use of unlimited internet if your 3g signal is so weak. Sun 3g signal is having problem lately mula nung binili ito ng smart. i have gs3 and note2 having problem with sun. i call the service center and they dnt know what to do. grabe talaga sun.
The plan is offered only for NEW subscribers. It’s not being for loyalty or retention plan. I wonder why Sun is leaving their loyal subscribers:-(
I HATE SUN CELLULAR. EBEN THOUGH THEY ARE UNLIMITED CALLS BUT THE QUALITY OF CALL IS SO DISTURBING. THE BEST PA RIN ANG GLOBE. SMART MAGNANAKAW NG LOAD
Maybe the signal is weak in your area. In my area, Sun’s signal is very high that the call is really clear.
I just wonder, after a year kaya, hinde ka magpapalit ng phone? Since it’s a 30 months lock in period, that is more than 2 years…
If ever you want to change ur phone after a year, you can still enjoy the unli-surf since your plan is stil data plan 999.
Much better in Globe offer! and I got one even-though I still have my Plan 350 24/7 unli SUN only. Love this phone! Eyeing for some LCD Protector and decent cases.
Good for you. My Plan 350 has just finished but Sun Cellular told me that I can’t upgrade to Plan 1699 because it is not offered as an upgrade for old suscriber:-( If I don’t have a landline bundle with my plan which will expire next year, I will definitely drop my old account to get a new one (i.e. Plan 1699).
