The widely popular Google Nexus 7 tablet has finally arrived in Philippine shores. As the official manufacturer and courier of the Android tablet, Asus Philippines officially announced and launched the Nexus 7 with a price tag of Php13,995 for the 32GB variant.
Just a quick refresher, the Google Nexus 7, which was first announced back in June in San Francisco, flaunts a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and pixel density of ~216 ppi. This device is also the world’s first 7-inch tablet to come with a quad-core processor (Nvidia Tegra 3, 4-core CPU, 12-core ultra-low voltage nVidia GeForce GPU), along with 1GB of RAM.

The Nexus 7 is now available for Php13,995 in most (if not all) Asus Philippines concept stores and authorized retailers nationwide.
Meanwhile, here are some hands-on reviews of this tablet:

The ipadmini and nexus7 are the 2 best mini tablets in the market right now. Designwise, i’ll go with the ipadmini. Ang GANDA talaga period. no other tablet out there looks this sexy. Pero when it comes to specs & price, i’ll definitely go with the nexus7. For less than 14k you get 1g ram & around of 32g storage space, whereas with the ipadmini, with 16k you get 512mb ram and 16g internal memory pero premium design, and we all know apple is in a league of its own when it comes to their gadgets.. so in the end YOU WILL have to choose, will you go with premium design or top specs? check mo na rin kung magkano laman ng wallet mo heheh!
This is the perfect mobile tablet. Fits perfectly in your hand and really powerful. For android users, this is a must. Screen resolution is great for movies / videos, picture editing, and web browsing. But I enjoy it mostly for magazines. There are tons of magazine apps and epubs, and it sharp and crisp on the nexus 7. I’m never gonna buy a printed magazine ever again.
I’ve owned mine since Sept, 2012 and I have to say I am amazed. It even made me buy the nexus 4 which I enjoy equally. For the money you shell out, Php14K is a bargain. The only knock on this device is that it doesn’t support LTE connectivity. Well, LTE really isn’t available in the Philippines yet anyway. But when LTE becomes available from our mobile networks, there is a tweak that activates LTE, so no real issue there. Maybe the storage may be a problem though, only 16 & 32 GB are available (No expandable memory). But again there is a solution, you can use USB OTG (on the go) connection to hook up to any USB drive. With android, there is always a way haha!
Go and get the pure android experience, only on the Google Nexus 7. Good job Asus!
i got one last friday. sulit sa price. alam naman natin na mas mahal sa pinas kesa sa hongkong or singapore or US ang mga ibang gadgets.
the ipad mini is just a small version of the ipad 2.
akala ko below 10k lang? sobra naman yata to. sa ipad mini nalang ako.
go ahead, bumili ka ng iPad mini 512MB RAM, not retina display at mas mahal below 16K oh sige bumili ka nun!
I’m buying this one!
